I've been wanting to put a tach on my 1994 4.3 4x4 for a while now, so I can see what the hell is going on with my engine. I'm a guage freak, and I like to know everything thats goin on under the hood. My truck did not come with the optional tach, but my buddy's 93 did. He totaled the truck and will sell me the cluster for 5 bucks. I was wondering if it is possible to install a cluster with a tach into a truck that did not come with one. I'm not looking to do alot of modifications, I just want a straight bolt in factory looking cluster. Any help would be great. thanks

Re: Gauge cluster swap
It should be the same. You may have to run a wire to the tach, but nothing major.

Re: Gauge cluster swap
So there wouldn't be a wire for the tach wired into the factory harness? Where would I find this wire. I was hoping that since it was a factory cluster, it would just plug in and work.
