DRL's for 99 Tahoe

Hey all...

I've read of a few different "tricks" on here about how to shut off the DRL's, is there one end all method that really works without risking screwing up anything else electrically???? The front grill on these just look way too good for these lights on all the time, not to mention how good they look at dusk with just the parking lights on.

Also.....like a lot of folks on here, had leaking anti-freeze(77K on the motor), had the intake gasket replaced, next thing you know gushing out the water pump, had THAT replaced, now a couple of weeks later I get a puddle of anti freeze in my driveway letting her warm up and now noticed a slight drop in the coolant level.....WHEN DOES IT END??????

might just be a lemon. I had a ford with too many problems to list one time. Anyway...There should be a fuse that runs only the daytime running lights. Its marked DRL in the fuse box in the cab. My truck has them too but I guess they don't bother me but I know a lot of people who are like you and would rather not have them.

i just slightly depress my emergency brake to get them to turn off...

I just had my intake gasket replaced a couple of weeks ago also. It's amazing how alot of these gaskets seem to go out around the 70K mark like clockwork. My truck had a little over 70K. I took it in and droppped it off. Well they replaced my water pump also. I had no idea the water pump was shot also, as the leaking was coming from the rear of the engine. I have an aftermarket warranty, so I only ended up paying a $100 deductible out of a $746 repair bill. But mine is still leaking as well. Its not nearly as bad as before,but I still have about a two inch diameter puddle of coolant on the garage floor when I come out in the morning. Looks like its back to the dealer.

there's one fuse that you pull and they are gone. Not sure the number but it's listed on the fuse cover. The little green light on the dash stays on but the DRL's are gone and nothing else is affected.
