tiburons in snow & rain?

ok.

i loved test driving it. BUT... even though i am a good driver, i noticed that i almost lost control of it, and there was *very* little ice that day.

do any NORTHERNERS drive Tiburons here?

i'd like your opinion before i completely give up on the tibby, because other than its inability to handle "non-L.A. road conditions" : )... i liked it!

thanks for any advice.

ig to blizzackss for the winter.... handles sofa king nice in the snow

some nice all season tires will take care of the problem... stock pilots arent that bad... maybe the tires you tested teh tib with were worn out...

I'm in southwest CT. Yeah, we get some snow here (getting 1' tonite). I feel it's mostly about the driver & tires. Ever notice that SUV's are the first ones to spin off the hiway? "Oh I have a 4x4 and I can handle it". Yeah right. In most cases the vehicle can, it's the driver that can't.

Depends on the SUV and the Driver. My Santy had no problem.

Just because one has a bigger suv, most think they can handle the bad weather, but I've seen many vehicles slipping and sliding. Most were going faster than they should and not all were suvs either. If its bad weather, you can't go speeding around and I see too many do it regardless. Then they have this dumbfounded look on their face.

Re: tiburons in snow & rain?

thanks all!

yeah, the dealership's used cars had shitty tires. you're right. taht was probably why the car handled like that. but i've driven on bad tires for years and not had a car stop and steer that badly. i guess i'm just not used to driving a Tiburon : )
