Front Axle Actuator

Hi guys. Hoping you can help me out. Has anyone replaced the above actuator? If so, can you tell me what's all entailed? Do I need a special tool? Are there any things to look out for? I have a 94 full size Blazer 5.7. Thanks, Keith.

Re: Front Axle Actuator

Just unplug and unscrew the actuator. They're not in that tight, so a pair of pliers will do. Coat the threads with liquid teflon to seal.

Thanks for your reply. The dealership said this is the new model for the actuator. Do you know if I can use the old wiring harness? If not, are there any tricks to hooking the new wires up?
