I recently had a P430 code and replaced my O2 sensor in bank 2. When resetting the code I got a new code of P160 then I cleared the codes again and now I am getting code P158. The check engine light will come on for a day or so and then it will go off for a day or two. It has been doing this for a week or so. Could I have possibly got a bad sensor from checker or is there something else wrong?

Re: OBD-ll codes P158/160
Is it possible you replaced the wrong o2 sensor? P0158 and p0160 are both codes for Bank 2 rear o2 sensor. I believe there are 4 o2 sensors on that vehicle bank 1 frt and bank 2 frt, also bank 2 rear and bank 1 rear. Did you replace the one after the cat? Pass side?

Re: Re: OBD-ll codes P158/160
Yes, I replaced the downstream passenger side sensor. I am wondering if I got the wrong type of sensor from the knuckle head at the store or if the one I got is defective? The fact that the light goes on and off has me wondering...
