ABS Warning Light

Hello-

I have a 95 Regal GS, and for the past few months, my ABS warning light has been on. Here is the weird part. A friend of mine owns a scan tool that can be used to see Engine codes, engine performance, and ABS trouble codes. When we hooked it up to my regal, it showed there was no engine codes, it showed the engine performance, but when we tried to read the ABS code that was making the light go on, it gave us a message that the connector was not connected. Obviously, the scan tool was connected, otherwise we would not have got the engine information. We tested both the ABS fuse and relay with a test light, and they both tested fine. I checked the fuse and relay for corrosion, and there was none. Could this be a wiring problem between the fuse/relay box and the ECM? If the fuse and relay are in good condition, but the wiring to the computer is messed up, wouldn't the computer think that the fuse/relay were no longer functional, and throw out some code to turn on the ABS light? Any help would be appreciated, because until I get that fixed, I am unable to determine what is wrong with my ABS.

Thanks.

Re: ABS Warning Light

Ahh ... I feel your pain ... cuz' I own a 95 Buick Regal GS. I have the same issue you do. However, I had it checked out twice and still having a bad sensor in the front passenger side of the car. I seeking answers to do my own diagnoise for myself. Maybe if i can solve my own issue, hopefully in future I can help you out. Hang tight!
