Turbo kit for Chevy Trailblazer

How many people would be into a turbo kit for the trailblazer I-6 that would make 4-500hp on pump gas? furthermore would you mind if the boost enrichment was accomplished using Propane/Lpg in the interest of being good to the air we breath? For around 4k? Just curious.

Re: Turbo kit for Chevy Trailblazer

The air I breath is fine with the current hydrocarbon based emissions

Actually, I'd be interested in a straight up (no enrichment) turbo kit for my truck. $4K may be high, but depends on what kind of turbo (ball bearing, etc) is used, and what type of materials are used for the fab (heavy guage stainless for the headers, for instance).

IMO, enrichment only makes sense for diesel engines....

A "tuner kit" I.e. you do your own engine management would be even easier, as all i will need to supply you with is the Nuts and bolts. The setup I'm putting together for my mom's (that's right, My Mom digs HP) Is a ballbearing t-70. I tig weld all of my turbo manifolds from 321 stainless and then have them coated over at swaintech. A tuner kit would be less expensive obviously than the full deal.
The reason why i ask about the propane is here in NY there starting to implement an emissions NAZI program so I have to be mindfull of that. using an alternative fuel for above atmospheric operation could circumvent that problem. Also the octane for propane is quite high, in addition to the fact that it's always a gas so fuel distribution is a non-issue.
Some examples of cars that I have done are on my site. Im hoping to have the Trailblazer done in a few months. I'll keep everyone posted.
