ECU Chips

Just wondering if anyone here knows where to buy ECU Chips? and if they have a picture of where they go in the ECU
I was thinking of trying it out for myself to see what i can do and if i can make it work.

if not i'll just give my ecu to a guy i know and get him to do it

Re: ECU Chips

I would suggest getting an integra ecu. I hear that those chips mess up your car, especially those $20 ones on ebay.

Re: ECU Chips

Why not just look into a fuel controller and then hit a dyno?

Re: ECU Chips

Yeah, and jet does it in a couple of days all over night mail. They can put everything into your ECU that you have in your motor. Like say you have a cam gear, intake, headers, catback, they can put that in the ECU so it knows it's there and can work to it's potential (spell). It's just an idea. I don't think chips are something to mess with if you have never done it before. They don't just clip in.

Re: ECU Chips

Just get a fuel controller and hit the dyno...even after you get new mods you can always hit the dyno again and not have to pull that chip and then rechip it again.

If you can see this let me know I know you had me on block not sure about anymore.

Re: ECU Chips

or... you can get a ZIF socket put in and used turboedit for obd-o, chrome or uberdata with obd-1 to tune your car how you want it... its not like its rocket science, study what other peoples are doing and teach yourself something... you don't always have to run off and pay some one to do the work for you, thats the fun of doing cars.

yup tuning your shit yourself is the best. most people cant tune there own cars. like i always say, im gonna go everyhting to my car, nobody touches it but me. im going to tune my shit myself. learning how to tune is better because you know exactly how your car is suppose to be and if it changes you will know it and you know how to fix it. not like these other people who cant tune and then there motor runs lean and they blow it and there like idk what happen kind of bs.

anyways if you need help learning how to tune, i can help alittle

thats why i wanna do the chip myself. i know a kid that has one thats a removable one so he can put different ones in, just a socket thats soldered in and a clip on it, unclip it and toss a new chip in and see what happens.

if theres any tuning i can do right now let me know. but i doubt it untill i get an adjustable fpr.
but if i can buy a chip now, its not hard to put em in, just need to know what to take out and what to put in, if i get the same kind of chip i'm sure this guy will lend me his ECU for a couple hours so i know its in the right spot

doesnt matter if I mess an ECU up anyways, i have a pm6 in my car, and a pr4 in my room. so no biggie
