How to locate Keyless Entry Keypad code 2003 Windstar
Can anyone tell me how to locate my keypad factory set code? The manual says that it is on the computer module which I don't know how to find. When I called a dealership they said that I cannot get to it and that it would cost me $55 for them to hook it up to their diagnostic computer. Can I get to it myself?

Re: How to locate Keyless Entry Keypad code 2003 Windstar
Hi
here is info that I know works on my '96. I doubt your system is engineered much differently: On my van: the module is located behind the center dash console near the floor. I have a large "U" shaped trim piece that wraps around the lower center of the dash at the floor. I removed that and found my module near the firewall at floor level. It has an antenna cable plugged into it (antenna cable is exactly like the one in the back of a car radio). I had to remove the module in order to see the code which was printed on a stick on label. Using that code and the owners manual you can re-program a discrete code. Happy hunting. |
