Looking at a 1990 Accord

I am considering buying a 1990 Accord. Is this a good year for the Accord? Does this year of Accord have any common problems? Thanks for the help.

Re: Looking at a 1990 Accord

Some say the 90-93 models were the best. But they are getting old and if the engine and transmission are original, is coming to the end of its service life at 250K.

if you like the shape of this generation accord then you should get the 93 se. this is the best one.even the 92. i would stay away for the 90 and 91 cause they didnt come with an airbag, or even with abs brakes. the 92 and 93 did i think in the ex and se model, and this saves some money on insurance. also in most cases the newer the year the fewer the miles.hope this helps good luck.

I believe the 90-93 Accords were the best made, but that is my opinion. The '92-93 years were probably a little less problematic..some of the bugs were worked out. If you get an automatic, the tranny seems to shift smoother on a 92-93. I have had a '90 EX and a '93 SE 2dr which I stilll have. It has 102k on it and has never given me one problem.
