cant shift '85 Bronco II

I have an 84 Bronco II with a A4LD manual tranny. One day i was backing out and then tried shifting into 1st gear and go on but i couldnt shift into anything. After a while of messing around with the shifter, i found that i can only shift into Overdrive or Reverse. Does anyone have any ideas on whats wrong with my transmission?
