Re: Nitrous Information

Depends on how much horse power you want to make. Anything under a 50 shot you are safe running dry. Anyhting more you must run wet to avoid major damage. As far as brands go I really like NX, and Eddelbrock the best. Stay away from Zex, they use inferior materials, that can cause problems.

haha...nice...NOS 2 fast 2 furious,....yeah haha...JK...i hate people like that...people with 2 fast 2 furious or Need4Speed Underground stickers on their 91 hondas...haha that is some funny crap.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't run nitrous in my car, its too risky for me. I mean I have a cousin who runs it on his Golf GTI and its quick, but hes already messed up his tranny. I dont know if it was related, but im thinking it was. He had to do a whole tranny swap.

Ive seen a lot of kits that only allow you to inject nitrous while you are in 1st gear...is that normal? Our GT's pull pretty good through 1st gear, and I dont think out FWD would handle any more power. I just would like an extra 75 or so HP at highway speeds...i dont really want it to race, just a little Xtra something if I need to merge or change lanes in a hurry.

spray only in 1st? That would be pointless wouldn't it? Only spray at the start of a run?

u want N2O just to merge or change out of lanes if ur in a hurry? Eh, IMO that is a waste of money, and too risky for our cars for a simple task like that. why not look for other upgrades that you can do to your car instead of n2o?

Re: Nitrous Information

its not terribly safe to leave your bottle open all the time (the only way you could use it in traffic). Its also a really good way to get lots of gunk in your lines.

Name one upgrade that will give me the same response as N20 for under 1000 bucks. I doubt you will be able to give me any list at all. Of course i would use a remote opener, and I doubt I would use it a lot. I just want to know it's there should an incident ever arise.

Re: Nitrous Information

what idiot would hit nitrous in first gear? now that is not safe. if you know how to run nitrous, then its completely safe. there a plenty of guys in 3Gs that have been running 55 and 75 shots for over a year with no problem. thats b/c they know how to use it
