Re: My new homemade CAI
Dosent look like it was relocated very far, its still in the engine bay lol. I think you should put a box around it and then run a pipe from the box to the bumper or wherever is the closest place outside of the engine bay. It won't look as prety but it will get you colder air.
Edit: Nvm about the relocaiting thing, I saw the seoncd page. I still think the air should come directally from outside the engine bay and not just behind the radiator.

Re: My new homemade CAI
I made mine in a similar fashion....I used spiral flex tubing I ordered from a summit racing catalogue, some heat-shielding material to go around the tubing, and a K&N conical filter...it's far from pretty, but it is very effective....my filter sits right behind the battery as well.

Re: My new homemade CAI
My friend made his by dropping in a K&N Filter, then taking the stock airbox, and cutting off 90% of the bottom part, so that the only part that was left was the edging to hold the filter in place. Sounds mean, gives it a little more pickup, but not much. Still cool though. I just got a video of what my CAI is gonna sound like, and I cant wait.

they say necessity is the mother of invention. bull, being broke as a joke and wanting more is the mother of invention. nice work btw. now if you could only get some dyno runs to see the before/after effect.

Re: My new homemade CAI
www.atpturbo.com sells aluminum and stainless piping. Kinda expensive but it is awesome stuff.
Nice work. Can't say much if it works right? Just don't try using that stuff for exhaust or anything :P haha just messin.

Re: My new homemade CAI
i'm checking out those links now... only thing is it's got two outlets that go to one mafs... which means the first link won't work. I need something kinda like what is in the picture so that both will go to one filter (i already got the filter btw, just need some ideas on what to use to make that design)

Re: My new homemade CAI
i'm not sure. i think it was like $50 more than what the standard intake piping was. i'm not sure what they'd charge for just the piping, or if they'd even sell it alone.
