It sounds like you have a bad bulb. when a bulb goes bad and you activate that turn signal it will not blink it eill stay on constant, That is what happens on my cars. If the bulbs check out OK then iy may be the flasher relay most likely located on the fuse block. Hope this helps.

Unfortunatly I don't know how to test a flasher relay, you may be able to take the relay to Autozone they may ba able to test it. If I remember correctly, a flasher relay is not too expensive, you may want to just replace it.

Good luck
Dan

You could be heading deep into a prolonged period of severe electrical problems, before i got rid of my sunbird, its blinkers erractically blinked at different speeds, sometimes staying on, sometimes blinking extremely fast or not at all.. this lasted for a while..until more problems arose, everytime you hit a pothole or a large bump one of the blinkers would go on, but the blinker switch remained stationary, meaning an electrical short...the 3 days before i got rid of the car.. i was woken up every night because my Hazards had come on by themselves during the night...and i had checked before i went to bed to make sure they were off.. good luck..i was never able to remedy the problem..

So far its only the left turn signal and it does turn on but just doesn't blink. I just hope it doesn't spiral out of control like you said. Thanks. Seb
