shifter is stuck

got a question hope you can help. We had the same problem that that guy had with his car not wanting to shift into park. Problem solved by slamming the shifter into park to make sure it was there. The problem now is the the car was stuck in park and wouldn't move. Then it went just into reverse. He took the shifter stuff off and there seems to be a cable missing. I don't know, but the button you press to allow you to shift into reverse hasn't worked for awhile and even came out one time. The assembly also seems to be bent and you have to manually move the parts to get it to go into reverse, park and nuetral, but still won't go into drive. Is there a diagram or pictures that show how the assembly is supposed to look?

PS I forgot to add that the car is a 1994 1.3L.
