tranny clunk

OK, just purchased my Sallen a month ago and I am noticing that when I let off the gas and then get back on it the transmission clunks. Before I take it in and possibly get ripped off I wanted some opinions. what does it sound like?

clunck noise

my 97' gt does the same thing and it's a broken transmission mount it's like a 30 dollar part

it the mount that connects your drive line to your tranny and holds it in place so it doesn't move around

the only draw back to replacing it is if you race... when you slide/drift around a corner instead of your car sliding snapping back into place and going it'll slide back and forth from slide to side most likely ending up in loss of control or spin or just flipping
this is be cause there is no give inbetween your tranny and driveline meaning your whole car moves as a unit

if it's broken image the broken mount as a joint...your tranny will be pulling the same way you are turningbut when your ass-end whips around it will pull your driveline the otherway force your car to straighten itself out and continue on course
