Bcm$$$$?

If I buy a used BCM, do I have to get it re programed?
How much are used ones?
At Chrysler here in canada they are $508 plus tax.
My rear wiper is pulsing and stopping at different points. Its a new motor from chrysler. Old one did burn out. They say that part of the bcm is failing.

No most BCM's are specific for the model and options. Try car-part.com. I tried to look for you but didn't have the particulars of your particular vehicle.

Question

Yeh, Im going to look for a used one. There are some good junk yards around my area. I just want to know how connected the bcm is to my remotes for the power locks. Would I have to get the remotes from the used bcm van, or does that not matter.

Re: Bcm$$$$?

The dealers in KS are charging $90-95 for BCM's. Junkyards are $10 at the U-Wrench_it places, $25 at the ones where they pull the part for you.

not sure what junk yards you have around there, but you could not go in the yard here for that price.

Re: Bcm$$$$?

i don't believe you have to reprogram your keyless entry after replacing your body controller as there is a seperate rke module in circuit and you only use the bcm to access the rke module for programing

Re: Bcm$$$$?

They charge a dollar to let you in the U-Wrench-It. The other yards where they pick the part, don't let you in.
