help trying to install new cd player

trying to install cd player and i have the istalation kit but the instructions suck any ideas to if you have to use factory brackets

it should fit...but what kind of car are you talking about??? that might help...the factory brackets should fit...but what do you need an installation kit for,.....all of my cars/friends cars/ never needed an installation kit...we jus took out the out stereo and put in the new one...

okay this is the kinda of stuff that i do for a living. Im MECP certified so listen up. if you have a prizm then you will use the install kit, your cup holders, and the factory brackets. you will put the cup holders at the bottom. then you will put in the pocket and opening peice. put the sleeve into the opening and bend the tabs down to lock it in place. slide cd player into the sleeve. there are tabs that will automatically lock the deck into place. then take your factory brackets and install them onto the install kit. then it should just all slide together. hope this helps.
