ok i wanted to strip my mustangs paint so i stuck it in purple power for a day and pulled it out, brushed it down, and no paint came off. iv used purple power to strip plenty of cars and it always works fine. any suggestions? the paints were tamiya german grey and gloss black

Purple power doesn't strip Tamiya lacquers.
Try brake fluid.

If it's Tamiya laquer or acrylic, try 91% isopropyl alcohol. If you are in the staggeringly small percentage of the population that can get Tamiya enamel, the Purple Power will work- you may just need to give it time and/or scrubbing.
