02 Expedition

I havent seen many recent complaints regaurding the 2002 models. I have one, and recently it has been showing signs of what I think is a problem.

While stopped in traffic it will sometimes rev up on its own, like I`m pushing the gas and brake at the same time. Once I took my foot of the brake to give it a little gas and it idle up by itself, alomst sending me into some ones rear end.

Any one else experience this problem?

I`m also starting to have problems with removing the key from the igition, sometimes it wont let me get the key out unless I fiddle with the gear selector. I have to push up in park while turning the igntion to off so the key is released.

Anyone else out there have these problems or am I dealing with a gremlin?

I HAVE A 01 EB EXPEDITION, WE'VE ONLY HAD IT A SHORT WHILE, BUT YES THE GAS HAS REVED UP TWICE WITH ME JUST SITTING AT A RED LIGHT. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED IT TO HAPPEN, BUT JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT IT HAS HAPPENED TO SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOU, SO YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT A GREMLIN UNLESS THEY CREATED TWO OF THEM...LOL

I have an 02 and I haven't had those problems. The only problem I have seen with mine is that when it shift sometimes it feels like I just ran over a rumble strip on the highway. A friend of mine had the problem you described in her car and it turned out to be the transmission.
