ok i just bought the Pontiac Fiero 1986 but i cant figuer out how to get it in to reverse we were told it was all the way to the left and up but it doesnt seem to work if anyone can help i would appreciate it greatly. also the car didnt have and wiper arms if any one would know were i could buy some of those. thanks alot

Wiper arms should be found at any parts store. a 1986 Fiero with a manual transmission should be the typical H pattern for the four grears. Reverse should be left and forward, you may need to shift into neutral, pump the clutch, then up-left unless something is broken.

sit in the passenger seat take your foot and kick that puppy over then up.
couldnt resist, sorry! seariusly tho, put it in nutral take your hand a bang the fucker over, hard and i meen hard then push it up. seriously thats the only way i ever get it to go in.

If its a 5-speed its down and to the right.
With the 4-speed its left, left again (PUSH!), then forward. |

On the Muncie 4-speed shifter, you will find a return spring that pulls the handle to the right, making shifting into reverse even harder. I popped that spring off, and now it shifts in ALL gears much more easily! Best no-cost shift improvement you can make on your Fiero.
