help me guys.
i just dropped a b20vtec in my 00 civic ex last saturday. the swap consists of a 1990 B16a head, a 1996 b20b block and a 91 B16 tranny. The head has a 3 angle valve job, everything else is stock. i am running an obd2 setup with the sohc injectors and a fuel pressure regulator. the timing is right all the plugs are plugged in correctly. it only wants to stay idle at around 1200 rpms. i have new distributor, platinum +4 sohc spark plugs that came off my sohc civic ex and new spark plug wires. we have tried to mess around with a idle screw and if u bring below 1200 rpms, it just shuts its self off. the fuel guage is reading 42psi and i know the car is running rich becuase it back fires big time. but alot of the time it also back fires out of the intake which i know is not good and you can also hear it leave some of the exhaust valves open while the intake valves are open. i have aem tru time cam gears which are set to 0 degrees, and i dunno if the cams are actually stock or after market. i was wondering if i can get some help with this major problem. thanx

Re: help me guys.
my advice is to switch to obd1 and run hondata. without tuning its not going to run at its optimum performance.

tried with the stock regulator and it does the same thing, re adjusted the valves. still back fires from intake and exhaust. does not want to idle under 1200 rpms. sounds like its running too rich. still getting 2 codes that say miss fire. and also change the spark plugs and put brand new plugs in and made sure they were gapped right.
