Oil Change Frequency?

Hey, just a quick question regarding oil changes. Toyota recommends the oil be changed every 7,500 miles or 12 months. I was thinking I might change it every 6 months or so. When do you guys usually change your oil? BTW, I drive my truck on paved roads, at least 10 miles one way each day, with little or no cargo, so it falls in the category of normal use. Every now and then I'll haul something heavy, but not all the time.

Just checking to see what the best time frame is to change my oil....

Personally, I change mine at approx 3000 miles. Some say it's overkill, but my 89 king cab 4x4 has 196,000 miles and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. It's more dependable than my late model suburban!

ya i do 3000 miles as well. keep fresh clean oil in there and it will run longer. im 110 miles over right now though :o
