1990 88 Transmission

My 1990 Delta 88 shifts hard when cold. It won't shift from 2nd to 3rd without 3 to 4 times of letting off of gas, then it shifts. Will shift normally after 15 to 20 miles, (worse when really cold, below 0).

Sounds like mousture is inside the TV (throttle valve) cable that connects the throttle body to the transmission. Sounds to me like it freezes then melts. If you decide to take this cable apart and blow it out with compressed air, get a manual first that explains how to properly adjust the TV cable (it's not too difficult, just a little hard to explain) Also check your vacuum modulator vacuum line for trans fluid in it. Also check too see that the vacuum modulator holds vacuum for 30 secs before bleeding off. Dave
