cigarette lighter problem
ok I was gonna go put my radar detector in my car. then when I hooked it up it wouldn't turn on. Then I went to see if it worked in my mom's car and it worked in my mom's car. I checked the fuse for the cigarette lighter in my car and it wasn't burned out. so I turned on my car and turned on the radar detector and still wouldn't work and ideas what the problem would be?

check that the wires are connected to the cig plug and make sure its clean. try twisting the plug side to side too sometimes it only works at a certain angle

yeah I would definatly check that. I thought my cig lighter was broke for a month till I noticed one of the plugs slipped off when I was installing my clarion. Also I have noticed as well sometimes to run accesories (liek my cell charger) you have to twist it real slow till it pops on. Good luck! peace

the inside walls of the ligther part attached to the car might be corroded and not forming a good connection. also check the fuse and make sure the wires on the back are connected CORRECTLY, otherwise you could fuck somethin up.

hey it's working now I had to put it in a certain way and have it not forced down but pushed down.
