Power window lock

I am having problems with the power windows for the passengers. I can activate the windows from the drivers side position but no one else can activate their windows. Someone once told me it was probably the power window lock but I can't figure out how to bypass it. I have done everything short of getting a different one and putting it in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much, it doesnt look like it is the drivers side switch. I have replaced it with a used one and doesnt change anything. I tried two used ones and neither makes any difference. Guess I start try the passenger switches now. Thank you again.

Disconnect the window lock switch and see if windows work. If they do, replace switch.

Re: Power window lock

another thing you can do is to check to make sure you are getting juice to the switches and window motors, not to scare you but I had a 93 sable and none of the power windows or locks worked, it took me a few days to figure it out but I ended up pulling the carpet up on the driver side and the wire harnes was burnt to a crisp , Im suprised that anything worked at all. Took a while but I got a chunk of harnes from a junk yard and spliced it in.

Re: Re: Power window lock

Thank you again, I will be working on that to see if there is juice to the windows on the other side. I dont think there is a way to disconnect the power window lock switch. I have tore that hole swith apart, to the point that I think some parts a missing now. I did try two different switches but the didnt work either. I appreciate all the help.
