You will need the following....

Engine

Engine harness (check with [email protected], he makes them)

Transmission (since your 2.8 won't bolt up to a 4.3 or a v8)
For center shift, you can go with a b&m or hurst. No need to cut a hole in the floor since it replaces your linkage with a cable

ECM

Conversion oil pan
Conversion headers
2.2 conversion frame and motor mounts
Fuel pump
Some minor plumbing
Wiring..
Time

Use the search feature for more information.

Cost will be around $3000 when all is said and done.

Cool

im looking into an engine swap also for my 89 s15jimmy. I read a forum a while back where a guy in fl. put a '98 chevy 350 small block in his jimmy. He didn't replace the transmission. he logged everything that he did step by step. He used a 4 bolt to 6 bolt adapter for the tranny. and an end piece on a caprice classic tranny. i think he used a radiator off a camaro or corvette(junk yard part) and the headers also off a camaro or a corvette i can't remember which one. with the used engine, and parts, and adapters and wiring stuff and all, he said he spent about 5000 dollars and about 10 months off and on. he said it really helped the fuel milage also. I don't know if this helps you in any way. just thought i'd share it. i can try to find the forum again and send it to you if you want.
