This guys a real clutz...

There's this guy, in a 92 Nissan 240 Sx, 5 speed with an APC-type intake. He said he was toe to toe with a 2001 Integra GSR with a 3" drop, AEM Cold Air Intake and a "secret weapon" exhaust system... On the FREEWAY.
I know first hand what this GSR can do coz he took my friend's 5.0, and I was like, "Wow... that's one fast import..."
so I told my friend what that guy said, and my friend was like, "Where does he live...?" And we're yet to find out if he's down to race...
I wanna know... Do you guys think it's possible for a 240SX to keep up with a GSR on the freeway... Because I think from a DEAD stop he'll get killed and the GSR's use their third gear on the freeway, which I've heard is quite a powerful gear. I've driven a 240 SX, and I've driven a GSR, I know that the only gear that feels mediocre on a GSR is first, but when you get into high RPM of that gear, then every gear feels clean and fast. All the way to the end of fifth, at like 150 mph. I raced a Camaro Iroc Z in one, and I took him, I took an IROC Z in a GSR stock.
So what's the verdict? Liar, or is he possibly telling the truth?

my friend has a 240. i havnt had a whole lot of experience with gsr s but id say its possible. i think the 240 has a pretty decent amount of torque. but really a freeway race can easily be screwed its pretty hard to get a real even race when your on the highway.

my rule for freeway racing: 1) if there's traffic or cops the race is off - no need to endanger anyone (or your wallet)...

I don't know much about the GSR, but if a stock one can take one of those old IROC Camaros then it will definitely take of the 240.

The 240 has a truck engine in it, so that gives it the torque, but it's
pretty well just a plain old nissan truck engine in the light body, so
really and truly the GSR should have no problems.

Hope that helps,
Peace.

what engine does the 240sx have in it? a KA24DE series engine or something?
is a gsr the normal 1.8L DOHC VTEC? if so, i think the gsr can take the 240sx easy

btw,in australia our 200sx has your 240sx body/platform but has the sr20det. our 200sx is in competition with the type-r and wrx...:coolguy:

Yea, we know that everyone except us gets the SR20DET. Shaddup. You don't have to rub it in. But yea, the KA24DE is a crappy motor, torquey for an inline-4, but a GSR should still kill it on a freeway since the torque won't matter as much as the HP at high rpms and high speeds. And also, a 92 would have more engine wear, and would already bring down the HP.

Trust me, that motor's seen more backyard mechanics than a cheap two dollar fix.
Yeah I knew it was BS, I just didn't call the BS flag on him until I got clarification.
Yeah he does have the KA24DE motor. What about an Integra LS? I mean there is no Integra LS here that looks like my friend's GSR, but maybe the 240SX driver was drunk, I know if I owned that car I'd be drunk a lot.
