Re: LHD to RHD Conversion

This might not be an option for you, but Jeep sells one or two models a year with RHD in the states. You have to order them and you can't chose what model it is, but they offer it.

A friends wife has a rual route for the post office. The Jeep from the factory was their choice. When they bought it the models offered with RHD were the wrangler and cherokee.

Have you done a search for the conversions? I would think they would be complicated to install and expensive.

Re: LHD to RHD Conversion

Well i live in Australia now and all cars here are RHD.

Theres a few trucks here but no one wants to give the info where the conversion was done.

I 'm really from Texas but married an Aussie so here I am. No truck or anything. Looking to ship a truck here. Just need it converted.

Hey thats a nice ride there how is the back seat?
is it decent or too small

Thanks

Well I don't have to sit back there, so Its Great! There is as much room in the truck as a midsize car in the back.

I did a search for those conversion kits. Unfortunately, all I found were forums about the conversions. Each of which did there own from scratch, using parts of various vehicles. You could just ship a truck there without the conversion. Could make for some interesting looks at a red light when you're by yourself. Although, going through the drive thru would be difficult.

Re: LHD to RHD Conversion

yeah well if I got a 1990 1991 then I wouldnt have to convert it. the law here says I must.
There is a few running around here just that they are tight lipped.

Mid size car huh sweet. more room than the old ones then. Keeps looking better and better.

yeah the drive through thing would suck..LOL
