92 Metro engine missing?

Please help guys. I've got a 92 Metro Conv, 5 spd. At odd intervals the engine acts as if it's missing or experiences a loss of power. After a few seconds, power comes back in. Real irratating. Have installed new plugs and a new O2 sensor. Wife had new catalic converter installed a short time ago. Any suggestions?

Quick question, is it loosing power or missing (or both)? That may lead to a clue as to what is happening intermittently.

Fuel Filter is 3 months old. The metro seem to be experiencing more of a loss of power than missing. Starting in 1st gear, rpm's are normal but the power (acceleration) isn't there. Then, suddenly, all the power is back and acceleration is normal. This intemittently happens in all gears at all speeds. Once at cruise speed, intermittently, you can feel the power loss, especially on hills. This is where it feels like a missing problem, but suspect actually a loss of power.

Probably a bad throttle postition sensor. When it loses power, floor it, and I bet the power comes back really quick. If that's the case, it is a faulty TPS.

I had the same problem, turned out to be bad spark plug wires.

I had that problem. Engine would only run at wot...then after a mile or two went back to normal. Turned out it was valves sticking....and then it got worse until it completely died and would not restart.

New motor...

Hope this is not the same symptoms as yours.
