Re: Best racer under 14K

FD IMO
very neutral cars, good power. 255hp. can be picked up for 7-13k with decent mileage. say 9k for a '93 then the extra 5k go into suspension, strut tower brace, sway bars, etc... you will have a damn fine handleing car.
also
240sx s14 can be picked up for 2-3k and are very forgiving. easyest performance upgrade would be to get a JDM SR20. this will put you up around mid 200's in the power area. that can be had for about 5k if you have a profestional install it less if you do it yourself. the extra money can go into the same type stuff as the FD and you will have a wonderfly forgiving car, and i dont mean cadilac forgiving.
and
any old BMW, Porsche's, etc... will handle good.

you can also pick up an old AE86, handle friggen awsome. but since the whole drift scene becamse grande popular...well lets just say good luck finding one that hasne been driven into the ground or doesnt have 500,000 miles on it.
Toyota MR2. mid engine RWD.
the old old NSX's can be found for right around 14k if you look hard enough, but like the old carrolas, good luck finding one for that cheap that hasnt been driven to hell and back then back down agian...

Re: Best racer under 14K

You know, there is a sticky thread on what car to get. What are the things you want it to have? (# of seats, speed, acceleration, looks, drive type, any biases like if you don't like ford or somthing lol). And most importantly.... How much you got??

Lemme guess, Thread title reads Best racer under 14k.

Hmmm I wonder how much he's got.

Nope...

No Clue.

And yes, please read the sticky.
