Bank 1 = Passenger's side.
Bank 2 = Driver's side.

Is this correct?

I have the dreaded PO155 error which is the Heater Circuit for oxygen sensor 1 in Bank 2. 2 or three people have told me that Bank 2 is the "right" side or passenger side so I put a new 02 sensor on the passenger side. I am still getting the CEL light with the same error message. The post here states the opposite is true. Can someone please confirm which is the correct bank 2? Thank-you so much for this great forum!

Bank 2 is most definately the drivers side (in the USA). Sensor 1 is before the catalytic converter, sensor 2 is after cat. Are you sure you got the correct (before or after cat) sensor?

Thanks!

Well that figures! I replaced the 1 sensor (before the cat) with a Bosch15703 on the passenger side. Are all 4 O2 sensors inter-changable? Thanks for your quick reply!

Not on the 1998-2001 3.2. The before & after sensors are different. 2002+ 3.2's use 4 of the same sensors (at over $100 ea!! )

My Rodeo is a 2001 2WD LS. The Bosch15703 I installed on "Bank1" seems to work ok as it does not bring up the error code. So I guess I will buy another one for "Bank2". I got the first one at O'Rilley's for $57.99.
