Umm....number one you cant put a FWD engine in a RWD car...the VQ35DE is a good engine...but you would want to use the 350Z engine or a Pathfinder engine...not the Maxima/Altima engine...it's all the same except for some subtle differences and the different tranny's.

S14 engine? An S14 comes w/an S14 engine...it's called the KA24DE...it's great for turbo...can hold up to like 400-450HP on stock internals (meaning no build up necessary as long as fuel is delievered properly).

Or you can get yourself a SR20DET...three choices here...

S13 SR20DET - 205HP cost around 1300-1700
S14 SR20DET - 220HP cost around 2000-3000
S15 SR20DET - 250HP cost around 4500-6500

Quarter miles for all of these vary from like 13.9 seconds to about 14.4 seconds bone stock on stock psi! W/just intake, downpipe, exhaust, better injectors and upped boost...you can have 300RWHP and a good 12 second time slip.

There's no difference...just one is newer (the blacktop) and one is older (the redtop).

nope, no difference. I would just get the Red Top because it's cheaper. that extra 200 you save can go toward a new clutch

HE's a exact right on the dot especaily about the price of the sR20. I think the S15 engine isn't worth it because for one the price of it. you should just stick to S13 or S14 becuause you can use the extra money for mods. You cant use the s15 6sptranny for the s13 or s14 beside i just emigine the feel that it would break on me if I use a s15. personaly if you spend over $5,000 on a s15, you be better of with a rb-skyline engine.
