Got a wired problem. need help!!!!!

wuz up

I drive a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Twin Turbo AWD with a boost controller and boost at 5psi because i just got a new clutch and i wanted to breakin the clutch and i today i decided to mess around with my boost controller so i turn up the boost the little but i dident even go over the stock boost which is 12psi and all of the sudder everytime i was in like 2rd gear and up and when my boost gauge would go over zero then this weird nosie come out of my dash. Sounds like tatatata quickly and as soon as i let go of the gas and the psi drops then it dosent do it. I had the boostcontroller for about a month now and i dident have anykind of a problem. The boostcontroller is the Greddy profec B II, and my friend told me that its my old solenoid and he toke it off but it still it made the wired noise!!!!

the noise sounds like its coming from between the 3 gauges in the middle of the dash and the hood. but it might be from the hood.

Do u guyz think it would be a good idea not to drive the car??? dose it sound like a big problem???

First off, please tell me you have an aftermarket boost gauge, and weren't going by the plastic stock boost gauge.
2ndly, did you install the profec B and your boost gauge yourself?
Where are they mounted? Do any vacuum hoses that were recently installed go near the origin of the noise?
Can you pinpoint if the noise is coming from inside the dash or the engine bay?

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: Got a wired problem. need help!!!!!

no i got the autometer boost gauge. no i dident install myself a shop did it for me. no vacum hoses nor anything else installed lately, since about a month ago never had this problem. its mounted were exactly the nosie comes from. if you are pop the hood and you are looking at the engine bay if you look just straight and were the hood ends and were the windshiled wiper and dash is. the noise kind sounds like its coming from the dash but i dont now really were its come from. somebody told me thats its my ECU what u think it is?
