Re: Ong-Bak

Best fight scenes I've seen in a while - very violent and realistic.

yeah but the story totally blew... and the fighting got old pretty quick, had my eyes closed for the last 30 minutes.

the movie felt like a commercial advertising for this guys skills... thanks for the instant replays

the first fights were awesome, like when he kneed that dude in the face... and i liked when he bounced that guys head off the table. Other than that, it sucked. The chase scene was retarded, the acting was TERRIBLE, and pretty much no story. That one chicks voice was annoying too.

Reminds me of Mark deCostas (Remember "Only the Strong")

The worst Sonny Chiba film had more story than this one....

Re: Ong-Bak

I know this thread is more than 3 months old, but America just got the DVD released so I figured it was worth mentioning this movie again.

Fucking sick as fuck. The story and acting were pathetic, but the fight scenes were some of the best I've seen. Even the running chase sequences were mind blowing.

My favorite move was the first one we see, where he slams the first contender right in the chest with a kick, almost effortlessly. And of course the final blow to the head where he penetrates the guy's skull, where did that shit come from?

I love it.

And I loved when he used the melee weapons in that cave, he's just dominating those guys.

Tony Jaa and the director already have another movie out together, and are working on one right now. Tom yum goong is the movie that is already out, and Sword is the name of their latest movie. Hopefully the director can pull together a better story this time.
