interchangeable rear ends for 90 sub

My wife has a 90 suburban v1500 4x4. The rear end is going out on it, so I was planning on going to the local wrecking yard and finding a replacement. Can anyone tell me what other years are compatible with hers? Thanks. Also any tips on picking a "good" one would be appreciated. thanks again.

I think anything from 88 through mid 90s will be ok. Its probably a 10 bolt. I would try to find one with 3.73 gears or lower. If it is a 4x4 though, make sure you get the same gears in the rearend as are in the front.
