Re: would you buy
Yeah and you never know if there was any electrical problems thru the whole car, problems could just pop up out of no where. My grandfather lived in Florida, and got his car drifted away during a huricane while he was at the mall. He got the car "fixed" and running fine, he rarely drove the thing. When he died, my dad got the car. A few months after he got it, he started having problems with it. The power windows stopped working, 1 window won't even stay up without tape, he had to replace the fans in the dash (my grandfather never used the AC). So it can definently be a huge problem car.
But, if I had a chance to buy a '03 s2000 for $8K... you bet your ass I'd do it in a second. I think something like that would be worth it, as long as it ran and didn't have any major problems. But if you're really interested, you should test drive it over to a local shop (that you trust) and see what they think about the condition of the car. If it was in good condition (no theft or flood), it's a $20,000 car. |

Re: would you buy
id buy it in a heartbeat. then again, im confident that any problems that came up from the flood could be fixed by me. but most people dont have the tools, or the knowledge to make a purchase like that worth it.

Re: would you buy
it's hard to say...really depends on the car and the condition of it and what it's been through. But i really couldn't trust a car like that, i'd hafta buy it privately or from a friend

like i said b4, theft i would go for, water damage, not a chance, if your not sitten in it, you could get it and notice mold or mildew has set in, theres an endless amount of possible problems that there could be

Re: would you buy
If I didn't get a chance to see the car and test drive it first, then no way in hell would I buy it. And for that price, more than likely there is something very wrong with it.
