I have been told 20inch rims will fit on 2004 Malibu anybody who actually has them on

I want to know if 20x8.5 (more interested in knowing if width will work) will work on a 2004 Malibu new body style. does the 8.5 cause any probelms or scubbin on the malibu.. and does it stick out from the fender?

Fitting 20" rims on an '04 Malibu will likely screw up all of the electronics. The DIC (if you don't know what that is, heaven help you) will freak out and the car will die.

Buy an '03 Malibu or older and try it with that. You're sure of much greater success.

Spinner wheels too, I'd assume.
