The American government hasn't been able to confirm the claims that Syrian intelligence is funding a percentage of the insurgency- or at least they aren't admitting it if they have- but I don't think it would shock me. There was also some speculation regarding the methods and means of obtaining these confessions. Many of the alleged terrorists looked pretty well beaten by Iraqi police. Let's hope Bush doesn't get another itchy trigger finger...I know Syria has oil, too.
