Arrow questionn about the application of a body kit

hey, i was just wondering how much work is it really to put a body kit on a car? I know it varies from car to car, but the one im thinking about getting for my future car doesnt require to move any of the lights of anything like that. So is it really hard or not. And also, is it legal to have a bodykit on a car and just drive it around on the streets in Michigan?:flash:

I put my BW kit on my car without any knowledge of putting on a body kit ... It took me about 3 hours with regular house tools ... A cordless Dewalt drill, some drill bits, and a pencil ... So it does somewhat depend on the kit you get but if they kit is made well then fitting it is quite simple ...

is all that holds it on screws? you don't have to weld or anything like that?

theres no welding as most of the bodykits are fiberglass... i suggest ask your local shop how much it would cost to have it put on proffesionally, cause it would really suck if you bought a nice kit and it happens to fall of on the highway. My friend put his kit on and his front bumper fell of luckily he wasnt on the highway.

I went to a website to look at the costs of body kits. When I went to the website they said all the bodykits are only legal to have on your car when you aren't on the highway and if youre racing at a drag strip. I donno though

bodykits may not be "legal" cuz they dont offer the same crash protection as your OEM bumper will.
