Door Adjustment

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and the VW family. I was happy with my 2004 2 door Golf until I started a clicking noise when I come to a stop or when I accelerate on the drivers side door. It doesn't do it all the time but it does it enough to annoy me. I took it to the dealer and they said all it needed was an adjustment. Unfortunately I was 800 miles past the "12000 mile warranty on clicks and rattles", even though it started way before it hit 12000 miles. I personally thought that was bs but that's a different matter.

Anyway, can any of you guys help me out here? How do I adjust the driver's side door. Again it's a 2004 VW Golf GL, 2 door. thanks!

You can adjust the door from the srtiker or the lock itself....2 screws on both parts, loosen the striker and shut the door till your happy with the adjustment then tighten up the srews..easy !
