should I?

right now I got a 98 INtegra LS with a 98 type R 5 lug conversion and a Type R suspension. I got exhaust and cold air intake. Right now i Have two choices. A. Get my timing belt changed, crower cams, head work, chipped ecu, diff injectors. or I could buy a 91 240SX instead. My timing belt HAS to be changed now its at 86k miles. but I dont have enough $ for both. Also I realize this is an ignorant question by all means. No Im not a newbie or anything like that and yeah I know the pros and cons to owning each and or both car but still Ide just like peoples opinions.I like my integra its just Ive had one wreck in it, and my subframes bent to fuck. So the handeling is screwed. pisses me off to =\ my alignment is beyond shitty. if I put on my brakes really hard it feels like the steering wheel is gonna jagger off.

Re: should I?

The 240 is not going to be near the handling that your car has now, even in your car's condition. The only benifit to having that 240 is the fact that it's rearwheel drive, and it's set up for drifting. I have two friends with 240's, and I have driven both. I really dislike the way they handle. They feel so uncertain in comparison to my teg (not just b/c it's RWD vs. FWD). The cars have no roll in them and they want to break the rear wheels free. If you want a reliable drift car, then go for it. It's not quite as fast as my GSR, but the 240 had a suprising kick to it. There is always the possibility of a sr20 swap if you want more power, or an rb26 or 20 series motors (skyline motors). The 240s are deadly in the rain though, had some bad experiences with the cars sliding around a bit too much on wet roads (forget it on snow).

Re: should I?

just fix up the teg. it'll be faster and more reliable than the 240.
