Just wondering cuz this kid I know has early 90's Taurus and it's got SVT decals on it. Was there an SVT Taurus made? it's not the SHO.

With the right amount of money I'm sure SVT would make any Ford an SVT. Although, I've never heard of one.

i can make a vw bug a honda easily by just putting on the badges, thats probly what the person did (sort of like how the honda guys put vtec badges on non vtec cars)

My Vtech Taurus is also a Cli and an rtype. It is sweet. IO figure i added 10 horse per badge so i am near 300 horsepower

SVT did make a version of the Contour which is similar in shape and size (I suppose) to a Taurus. Sure the kid wasn't driving a Contour SVT? If you are positive it's a Taurus, then he must have put the SVT badges on it. Does it also have a carbon fiber wing three feet off the trunk lid?

The shape was similar, but the Contour was a good bit smaller. Didn't the SVT Contour come with a big load of aero cladding, too, like a Pontiac?

Well, it did have fairly subtle ground effects and a low-profile rear spoiler. I wouldn't go so far as to say, "like a Pontiac." In my opinion, the effects on the SVT Contour were tasteful. The effects on most Pontiacs to me are TOO much!

Yeah, the kid is in one of my classes...he doesn't have a wing but he does have rims! lol but we finally convinced him that he just had stickers on his car and it wasn't actually a special model (he thought it was).
