03 Civic SI 135 MPH
I know because I have had it redlined in 5th gear on Alligator Alley thats what the speedo read. Taller gears would give ya a little more top end.

Re: Top speed

from my experience and what the government tells me no car sold in america will go past 130mph since the 80s no matter what power you have..unless you alter the ECU.
i'm interested to hear what you all have to say on this one. am i wrong, is your speedo reading off cause of tires, or am i missing something?
top speed for me, 120mph quite a few times on the interstate, though the car really wants to lift up in the rear and sway badly changing lanes or gradual turns, especially if you hit a bridge. i think she ('01 civic ex i/h/p/e) topped out at 125-127 when running from an F250 in west virginia., i cutoff one pissed hillbilly.

easy BrodyP, my quote isn't based on BS, a good friend of mine has a highly moded cobra, now i know that is not a civic but the engine management he has will let the car go faster than 130mph. also his brother has a S10 Xtreme that i'm pretty sure can do over 130 with a chip mod that lifted the 98mph limit placed by the factory. i was just wanting to state that the speedo might read just over 130, but its highly unlikely your actually breaking that mark, unless there's modification. and for the other guy with keys in hand, send me your email i have several video clips of civics on the 1/4 running 10.59 @ 139 MPH or better.
on another note, what is with this i hear about honda FP is this a higher level of Si or type R configuration. i tried to look this up but couldn't find block type or anything on it? peace.

I think he means the 7th gens specifically since no one that I know of has developed a chip or engine management that would allow you to remove the rev or speed limiter for the 7th gens quite yet.

Re: Top speed

^^GSCIVIC7 is correct on what he said..As for your FP question..This is the Honda Civic Factory Performace model..Has nothing to do with engine upgrades. It includes leather seats, different rimz 16' rather then 15' as well as the full OEM body kit, fog lights and FP badges on the back of the trunk. Bascially nothing special at all just a 20 grand civic with all the crap lol. I have also seen FP with out leather seats. Its random based on which dealer you go to and the knowledge you present to the dealer.

All HFP is is a lip kit, tighter suspension, bigger wheels, i think besides the extra badges thats it. It is a civic EX that comes from the factory with those things. Nothing at all that would make it able to do 140 with intake and "minor motor mods" so, yeah im a little late but

Your bullshit claim is bullshit, I've been in the car with EnjukuRacing240sx when he has done 140, I"ve also been in my integra next to him while we were both doing 140. So fly your bullshit flag all you want buddy, We/he did 140 and if you don't bealive it, tough
