3800 series II engine oil pressure

Hello, could anyone tell me what the normal oil pressures are during idle and while driving. I have a new oil pressure gauge in and I just wanted to know where the numbers (PSI) should be.

Thanks....

If you lose oil pressure while driving, will any idiot lights come on? Can you depend on such lights?

Re: 3800 series II engine oil pressure

The oil pressure should be approximately (60 psi) at 1850 rpm using 10W30 engine oil.So at idle you may see around 50 psi and revving at around 75 psi.

Hope that help's !
