Tires
I wanted to ask to see if anyone knew the widest tire I would be able to fit on my stock rims. I have the fat-fives (as you can see in my sig). Can I fit a 205/55 R15 on them? Or a 205/45 R15 or something?

Re: Tires
on tire measurement, the second number isn't width. the first number is the width. 205 is a measurement in i think mm and the middle number is the distance from the top of the rim to the top of the tire. im not exactly sure what the widest you can fit it but i have rims w/ 205/40R17 on my rims which are wider than stock ones and i think the widest ones i could fit are 210 or maybe 215.

Re: Tires
I just found out that my little brother (who has the exact same car 1998 GSR with GSR blades) has 205/55 on those rims. That is probably what I'll go for. Second question, What's a good tire? Looking for Z rated, or V rated, but something that has awesome grip for about 120 bucks a tire (awesome can be relative to price).

the first number is indeed the width but the second is not sidewall height it is a number representing the whole area between the rim and tire edge... hmm i know there is a name for this but I can't think of it right now.and is also a percentage of the width... cross area or something (its too early in the morning). Anyway think of it this way, if you look dead on at your tire as if the car is headed towards you, cut the tire and rim right in half. All the area in a flat plane that is between the top of the tire and the top of the rim is what the second number represents. The reason why this matters is because a 185/60 is not only narrower than a 195/60 is also has a shorter sidewall, because the 60 represents that the sidewall is 60% of the width(195) This is probably confusing as hell and it took me a long time to figure out but you will get it eventually. Anyway this is why you can't just go from say a 195/60 to say a 205/60 because the side wall willl be much taller than the old tire. you would need to go to a 205/55 or even a 205 /50 if going from a 195/60. Anyway what size tire is on your car stock? it would be easier to tell you what size you can go if we have that info.

ok 205/50 15's would be a good choice. the speedo would not be knocked off any noticable difference. A 215/50 15 would be even closer , if of course they fit in your wheel well which i'm almost sure they will. I believe I remember someone saying they ran 215's on their civic for awhile sooo if they fit in the civic they should fit in an integra. (it may have been civicsiracer... i can't remember)

Re: Tires
As far as tires I wold recomend Yoko AVS ES 100, Goodyear Ealge F1 or any tires with similar treead patterns. THese patterns handle great in the dry witout a lot of noise and very predictable breaking points and in the wet they are amazing. The yokos are cheap (around 80 a tire last i checkd) and the goodyears are a little better i think.
