this is jocund

so i'm driving to my friend's on the highway from work and i feel a little veering to the right towards the shoulder and i was like "there is no way my suspension is acting up and there is no way i have a flat tire". eventually when i would go over a bump my front right mudflap would scrape the ground. i made it to my friend's house and get out and look at my car and it my front right tire is 3/4 full of air. i assumed it was no biggie and that i could go and pump some air into it afterwards. i stayed at my friend's house for like an hour and then i had to go home. so i walk over to find my car chilling with an almost completely flat tire with my mudlap touching the ground and all. so i coast down the hill slowly about like 150 feet hoping to not bust up my rim and i park on a level part of the street and go about changing my wheel. my car is so low to the ground that my jack didnt fit under my car. so i had to figure out a way to get it under there. then i put my spare on, raised my coilover all the way to even out the car's stance and then...... i lowered the jack and put everything away. i go to start my car, it barely turns over.... my freaking battery died! my hazard lights killed my battery because it was so bitter cold out and because my battery is so old. i tried starting up my car and i tried push starting my car for about like 10 minutes....nothing. i called my dad and told him to come and help me jump start my car. he didn't know how to get to where i was. so he told me to wait on the corner of this one big street and wave to him when i saw his car. so i'm standing there on the corner of this one street and then i see a cop drive by in an SUV. currently i'm about two blocks away from my car which is neatly parallel parked on the side of this one neighborhood street. the cop was speeding and swerved into the neighborhood that i was in. he then made a quick u-turn and park his suv next to my car and gets out with a flash light and starts looking through the windows of my car. i figured somebody called the cops on me because i was in front of this person's house being noisy by trying to start up my car for 10 minutes (it turned out that somebody actually did call the cops on me according to my girlfriend's neighbor). then, right as the cop gets back in his SUV and starts driving in my direction, my dad comes and picks me up and drives me over to my car to jump start it.

i thought that was such a bad night....but, the next day i got myself a brand new battery and some dude at my job randomly came up to me and offered to buy my wheels with the flat tire off of me for 300 bucks. currently i'm about to buy a set of gunmetal rota slipstreams with the polished lip. sweet!

here's the last picture taken of my car with my old rims on....

Re: this is jocund

Glad everything got straightened out. Say goodbye to old deep dish hammers and say hello to lightweight rota sweetness....
