I have two 3rd gen Camaros, I want to create a nice custom powerful ride to cruse. Should I Build from the ground up? (both really need work) or should I sell them and purchase a more intact starter Camaro? Which would be more cost effective? Any other suggestions? Help!

Re: Restore or begiin with something nicer??
Buying one thats nicer to begin with is always going to be a more economical choice.. But the satisfaction that comes with building your own car more than makes up for the time and money spent..
parts for the cars are plentiful and they're very simple to work on

Re: Restore or begiin with something nicer??
well it depends on what cars you have and what car you are looking to cut up. For instance, i would freak out if you sold a pair of beaters, that were strait but needed alot of work, to buy say an 1LE or G92 camaro and cut it up to make a custom ride. Now if you have to honest to god horror stories, and buy a clean run of the mill 305 equipped RS Id say thats a better way to go. It also depends on what mods you are looking to do. If youre planning on doing a full blown custom job with new interior, new paint, custom engine and the works, id say keep what you have because its not gonna matter what shape they are in now, rather than taking a clean car that could be a daily driver and changing it. but thats just me being sentamental.
