98 caravan/air bag light & cruise control
my 98 caravan has its air bag light on plus the cruise control
and horn stopped working all at same time, whats wrong? |

These items mentioned (and others like the wipers)are controlled by the body control module.
Try disconnecting the battery for 30+ seconds and reconnecting. This will cause the BCM to reset. |

There was a recall on the clockspring in the steering wheel. It should be replaced for free if time hasn't run out. I had the one replaced in my caravan last year. Call dealer and find out.

clock spring
I had my clock spring replaced last year in my 97 Grand Voyager due to a recall. At first They told me that I had too many miles on the Van but I went on-line and found out that the recall had been changed to unlimited miles. My local dealer did not even know about the unlimited miles untill I pressed the issue. Being presistant saved me over $400.00.
They must replace it for free!!!!!!!!!! |
