When i place my lever to the right my turn signals come on but do not blink , both front & rear. The left side blinks as normal, so i dont think its a bad flasher unit. At first when this happened i noticed that my turn signal and side marker bulbs on the right were blown. So i replaced them but still the same no blink' situation.

Re:  Turn signal problem.
Are they the right bulbs??? Some bulb models have greater resistance than others and won't flash.
Maybe there is corosion at one of the connections on the right side..... OR there is one more bulb still burnt out. JD |

Re:  Turn signal problem.
Upon closer inspection i noticed the blown bulb says 1295 at the base, which corresponds with the owners manual, the bulb i put in says 1156, it looks and fits the same. You think thats the problem? I cant find 1295 anywhere on my island. Another one of chrysler's perfect inventions

Re:  Turn signal problem.
Hey Caribbean ZJ ----
I did a little research and I was right about the resistance. The 1295 is an amber bulb and it is rated to draw 3.0 amps. The 1156 is rated to draw 2.1 amps and therefore a higher resistance than the 1295. Because the 1156 doesn't draw as much power as the 1295, it won't heat up the bimetal strip in the flasher as much to break the circuit. I tried to buy one to check the current draw but the one parts place I was able to get to didn't have one and couldn't get one either as they had tried for another customer. Are the 1295's available thru a special order from you parts store?? Not sure what to suggest for you to do now unless there are other things going on in the circuit too.... JD |

Re:  Turn signal problem.
Hi ya alharris
Not sure about your blazer's exact flasher location but a lot of the time they are on the fuse block - usually under the dash. The click you usually hear when they are flashing is the flasher switching on and off... The flasher operation depends on the draw from the light bulbs to make it work so having one or more burnt out can prevent it from working. JD |
